Spring Creek Gorge family bushwalk

Designed for active families with kids aged 6 years or over, this is a fun hike along Spring Creek, in the Yanununbeyan State Conservation Area. The route goes through a series of rocky sections and cascades, with some scrubby patches, reaching a small gorge. Return the same way. Water quality about the same as the Murrumbidgee. Note that there is no track and you will need to use your hands sometimes when climbing over the rocks or pushing between bushes. A few early spring flowers may be out. Total 4 km, 50 metres descent and ascent. Leave Queanbeyan 9:00 am, should be back by 3 pm. Organised by the Canberra Bushwalking Club. Non-members welcome. Please book via the link below, using the 'Request a Booking' button for each member of your family (i.e. if you have 2 adults and 1 child, you need to make 3 separate bookings) . The meeting place in Queanbeyan will be confirmed a couple of days before the walk.
