  1. Event Toddlers Toddle, Cuumbean Nature Reserve

    12 Aug 2016 9:45 AM – 12:00 PM

Cuumbean Nature Reserve, Captains Flat Road, Carwoola, 2620, ACT, Australia

A walk designed to introduce kids 1 to 3 years old to walking on uneven ground. The route of about 400 metres wanders through open forest on the flattish banks of a small creek; the creek is often dry but with luck it will be flowing. Meet at 9.45 am at the Spotlight carpark, 6 Bungendore Road, Queanbeyan, after which it is a 5 minute drive all on bitumen. We should be finished by noon. Organised by the Canberra Bushwalking Club; all welcome, no need to book.

  2. Event Jerrabomberra Lake PRAMbulation

    22 Sep 2016 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM

Jerrabomberra Lake, Queanbeyan, 2619, ACT, Australia

A walk designed for parents or grandparents with kids in strollers. Unknown to most Canberrans, this serene and green walk includes a park filled with mature trees, waterbirds, some views across paddocks, and opportunities to gawk at mansions. On the last PRAMbulation here we met a black swan family (pictured). About 1 hour of walking, a there-and-back route so there is an option to sit out for part of the walk if your baby won’t settle. Non-members welcome. No need to book. Meet in the bitumen car park off Bayside Circuit (at the back of nos 77-79 Bicentennial Drive), Jerrabomberra, at 1pm. Organised by the Canberra Bushwalking Club; all welcome, no need to book.

  3. Event Weston Park PRAMbulation

    5 Aug 2016 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

cnr Brown and Banks Street, Yarralumla, 2600, ACT, Australia

A morning walk designed for parents, and grandparents, with kids in strollers. A circuit of Weston Park, largely on the peaceful winding bike path next to the lake shore; this bike path gets little use during the week. Near the end of the walk, an option to visit the Oaks Brasserie for a coffee. Stroller terrain includes about 100 metres of hard-packed level soil; the rest is bitumen. About 1 hour actual walking. Meet at 10 am at the dirt car park at the corner of Brown and Banks Street, Yarralumla. No need to book. Organised by the Canberra Bushwalking Club.

  4. Event Toddlers Toddle - Kowen Creek

    21 Oct 2016 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

cnr Sutton Road and Kowen Road, Kowen, 2620, ACT, Australia

Fri 21 October: Toddlers Toddle – Kowen Creek
A walk of about 300 metres return across grassy flats to a creek in the native woodland section of Kowen Forest. Designed for toddlers and their support crews. Meet at 10 am at the corner of Sutton Road and Kowen Road (about 1.5 km north of the junction of Sutton Road and Pialligo Avenue), from where it is a 3 minute drive.

  5. Event Toddlers Toddle - Murrumbidgee

    23 Sep 2016 9:45 AM – 12:00 PM

Cotter Road, Weston, 2611, ACT, Australia

A 300 metre circuit to a bank of the Murrumbidgee River that has a flat stretch of rounded stones, just the right size for throwing into the water. Just downstream from the junction with the Cotter River, the water is clearer here than in most of the Murrumbidgee. Great practice in walking on uneven ground for kids 1 to 3 years old. Meet at 9.45 am in the bitumen car park under the bridge that crosses the Murrumbidgee, near Cotter Reserve. (Turn into the Cotter Campground, then left to head back towards the car park under the bridge). We should be finished by noon. No need to book. Organsed by the Canberra Bushwalking Club.
